We can't waste time, we can only waste ourselves.

When Brian Wilson was a child, his mother told him that dogs could pick up "vibrations" from people, so that the dog would bark at "bad vibrations". Wilson turned this into the general idea of vibrations, and developed the idea of people being able to do the same with emotions.

Goodvibe Records blog is aimed to intercept human being vibrations.

It’s time for all of us to think about the future steps of human being. We are not politicians or philosophers but we want to participate to the public debate providing our point of view. This book gives a very interesting point of view about modern times in Britain.

Based on a wealth of original research, and wide-ranging interviews with media figures, political opinion-formers and workers, Chavs is a damning indictment of the media and political establishment, and an illuminating, disturbing portrait of inequality and class hatred in modern Britain.

Sound design and mastering students Frederic Möring-Sack and Christian Jonquieres, are Piemont, a deep and techy duo who own two labels, Suchtreflex and Plumbum. Finding influences from deeply heavy timbres in hip hop, metal and of course, techno, their modern and cutting edge productions are something to behold. Their tracks are still being played out all over the world, particularly ‘Carbonat’ and ‘Black Smoker’, fixing them at the top of the German house producer tree. They’re releasing new remix EPSand Hills, a collection of remixes of their track from Uner, Sante and more – and of course, after hearing their brilliant second album in April of the same name and the source of these gorgeous remixes, we thought we’d invite them to put together the first of this week’s double podcasts. Sit back and allow Piemont to take you where you want to go.

A new essay from Stefan Goldmann published with Little White Earbuds on how to stand out in an environment of mass access. beyond a bit of history and economics, strategies are discussed on how to leverage the competition’s uniform approach to aeshetics, promotion and distribution for your own fun and profit as an artist.

Gil Scott-Heron is an American poet, musician, and author known primarily for his late 1960s and early 1970s work as a spoken word soul performer and his collaborative work with musician Brian Jackson. His collaborative efforts with Jackson featured a musical fusion of jazz, blues and soul music, as well as lyrical content concerning social and political issues of the time, delivered in both rapping and melismatic vocal styles by Scott-Heron. The music of these albums, most notably Pieces of a Man and Winter in America in the early 1970s, influenced and helped engender later African-American music genres such as hip hop and neo soul. Scott-Heron’s recording work is often associated with black militant activism and has received much critical acclaim for one of his most well-known compositions “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”. On his influence, Allmusic wrote “Scott-Heron’s unique proto-rap style influenced a generation of hip-hop artists”.

His vision of life and his poetry will last forever. R.I.P.

Salvatore Lillini is a young and interesting graphic designer from southern Italy based in Rome. According to his words this is what we have to know about him:

“I grew up in Naples’ countryside,
building treehouses and catching lizards and frogs.
I’m really into handcrafting.
Ink and paper, iron and leather, canvas and wood, sand and sun.
I love screenprinting and building bicycles. Freedom.
Make research and develope ideas to stimulate eyes and mind.”

Since the beginning Tore is Goodvibe Records graphic designer. And we love him!
